DaLee, Cats Roll over WSU in Three Games

TUCSONJunior middle blocker Marisa DaLee hit .600 for the third consecutive match, leading No. 18 Arizona to a 15-5, 15-11, 15-5 sweep of Washington State here Friday night.

The Cats improved to 11-4 with the win, 5-2 in Pac-10 play. Washington State fell to 7-7 and 2-5.

DaLee posted 12 kills in 19 attempts without committing an error. Over her last three contests, DaLee is hitting .629 with 42 kills and just three errors.

Freshman outside hitter Lisa Rutledge hit .458 and led all players with 14 kills. Senior outside hitter Raelene Elam had a season-high 12 kills. The Cats followed up their .427 hitting percentage in Thursday's win over Washington with a .382 mark against WSU, their two best figures of the season.

Freshman outside hitter LaToya Harris led the Cougars with 11 kills, while senior left-side hitter Joy Sperry had eight kills and a match-best 13 digs.

Arizona returns to action next Friday, Oct. 15, when they travel to Palo Alto, Calif., to take on five-time defending Pac-10 champion Stanford.
